There is very little to describe.

Your answers

Every test here is scored by JavaScript running inside your own browser. They are not transmitted, not stored, and not seen by me or by anybody else. There is no server that could receive them: this site is a folder of static files. The data never arrives in the first place.

Which is why I cannot tell you how your result compares to everyone else's. I do not have everyone else's.

What is actually collected

Two things, both anonymous. First, page views, through Cloudflare Web Analytics. For each page load that records which page was opened, the site you arrived from, a country, your browser and device type, and how long the page took to load.

Second, usage counts, kept by this site itself so I can see what people use and what needs work. When something is used, the page adds one to a total for the day: a test started or finished, the question someone was on when they left a test, a game played and whether the run was won or lost, a puzzle started or finished, a share button, a link or button pressed and which part of the page it was in, and a language picked. Each count is the name of the thing, the page's language and the date. That is all it holds: not who you are, not your answers, not your result and not your score.

Neither sets cookies, builds a profile of you, or follows you to other sites. Neither can tell that two visits came from the same person, which is also why the numbers I see are rough rather than exact.

Cookies and storage

This site sets no cookies. Not for analytics, not for preferences, not for anything, which is why you have never been shown a consent banner here. Your test answers are never written to your browser's storage either. Two small things are, in localStorage, and only on your own device: the language you picked from the menu, and, if you play the games or the daily puzzles, your best scores, your progress on today's puzzles and your streaks. None of it is ever sent anywhere. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it.

What the host sees

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare's network handles the IP address of each request in order to deliver the page and to absorb attacks. That happens under Cloudflare's own terms, before anything of mine runs. I have no access to those logs and no way to query them.

Guess links and shared results

A finished result can be turned into a link that asks a friend to answer the same test as if they were you. Everything that link carries rides in the part of the URL after the hash mark, which browsers never send to a server. Your friend's answers are then scored on their machine exactly as yours were. Nothing about either result reaches this site, because there is nowhere for it to reach.

The share buttons open WhatsApp, X or Facebook in a new tab. Nothing goes to any of them unless you press one, and what happens after that is governed by their policies rather than by this page.

Things that do not happen here

If any of that changes

There are no adverts on this site as it stands. If that ever changes, this page will say so before the first one appears, not after, because a privacy policy rewritten once the tracking is already running is worth nothing. The same holds for anything else that would move data off your machine.

Your rights over your data

Ordinarily this is where a site explains how to request a copy of what it holds on you, or ask for it to be deleted. Those rights are real, and here they have nothing to attach to: I hold no account, no answers, no email address and no identifier for you, so there is nothing to send you and nothing to erase. If you think otherwise, or want to ask about any of this, write to hello@mindtypetests.com.

This site is not built for children under 13, and asks nothing of them, or of anyone, that would identify them.
